On March 29, beer and spirits writer Stephen Beaumont with Wines in Niagara featured NC’s Artisan Distilling program and Teaching Distillery.
In the piece, CFWI associate dean Gary Torraville comments on the program’s inception while NC distilling professor Andrea Fujarczuk discusses various course components that extend beyond sensory training and the actual distilling process. She also highlights that about 90 percent of the program’s graduates are employed in the industry.
Beaumont’s feature closes with product reviews for four spirits sold under NC’s School Spirits label: Spirits 101 Escubac, School Spirits Rum, Spirits 101 W. Studio Gin and School Spirits Southern Hospitality.
