Message from Fiona Allan, Vice President Academic:
It is with mixed feelings I am announcing that Justin Williams, our dean of Business, Hospitality, Tourism & Sport has accepted a position as dean, Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at Douglas College in British Columbia. Justin’s last day at Niagara College will be March 19.
Since Justin was first hired to Niagara College in 2015, he has provided a pivotal leadership role in a number of areas across the College. Justin began his career at NC as an associate dean in the School of Business. Almost three years later in 2018, Justin transitioned into the role of director, Global Education and Partnerships with the International Division, where he led his team in building a number of significant initiatives, including NC’s work with UNESCO in Malawi and supporting various partnerships in Asia, specifically in Suwuon.
Following the onset of COVID-19, Justin adeptly shifted into the role of dean, Business, Hospitality, Tourism & Sport in June 2020, and has helped this team to navigate the complexities of the pandemic.
I want to thank Justin for his tireless efforts in supporting both students and staff over the course of his career with us. Though Justin’s presence will be missed here at Niagara College, he will always be considered a part of the NC family. Please join me in wishing he and his family well in this next chapter. Congratulations!
