In this Niagara Now editorial, Tim Taylor writes about his experience adapting his Santa Claus persona for a virtual world with help from NC’s Broadcasting program.

Over the 2020 holiday season, a small group of third-year Broadcasting TV students supported a local initiative offering Zoom calls with Santa for children and their families in support of Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care. The students, led by student producer Sabrina Croteau and with support from BRTF program coordinator Dutch VandenBerg and President’s Office coordinator Carly Root, created three promotional videos to help launch the project.

Taylor speaks to the creativity of the NC team who helped translate the magic of Christmas onto the screen in support of the initiative. Links to the BRTF promotional videos are included at the end of the article.
