NC will offer a Massage Therapy advanced diploma program starting in September 2021 and the three Niagara Dailies shared the news in this December 2 article.
The article mentions that the new program, which will accept 40 students into the first intake at the college’s Welland campus, will serve a growing need for massage therapists with labour market analytics firm Emsi, projecting a 22 percent growth in Ontario from 2018 to 2026 and a 12.6 percent growth in Niagara.
NC’s dean of Community and Health Studies Carolyn Triemstra is quoted in the article speaking to the growing need for massage therapists, who play an important role in their communities by providing quality patient care.
