Dr. Daniel J. Patterson served as Niagara College’s fifth president from 1995-2020. 

When he retired earlier this year, the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus was renamed in his honour by the Niagara College Board of Governors last year to recognize Dr. Patterson’s accomplishments.

A guide has been created to ensure appropriate and consistent reference to the campus. The primary name format for it is the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

This format was chosen so that readers can associate the location of the campus on a map in relation to their place of origin, which is important for those who aren’t familiar with Niagara College, it’s campuses or the Niagara area.
