Peter “Dutch” VandenBerg, coordinator of NC’s Broadcasting – Radio, Television, and Film program, is quoted in this Niagara-on-the-Lake Local article about Music Niagara’s At Home Series. The BRTF crew professionally recorded 15 concerts for the virtual series, helping Music Niagara pivot and adapt its festival programming during the COVID-19 pandemic.
VandenBerg, who was connected to the festival by former NC Board of Governors chair John Scott, speaks to the value of the partnership in providing a beneficial student experience:
“This is experiential learning at its finest, and has provided our students another unique opportunity to be creative and apply the skills they’ve learned in our broadcast program. This At Home Series allowed us to focus on audio recording techniques and live multi-camera production.”
The final two recordings were released over the Thanksgiving weekend and can be viewed on Music Niagara’s website and YouTube channel.
