Tami Jeanneret with Newstalk 610 CKTB shared news about a free outdoor film screening on October 3 hosted in partnership with Niagara College and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre with support from event partner One Dish, One Mic.
The film, nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up, is an award-winning Indigenous documentary written and directed by Tasha Hubbard that explores the death of Colten Boushie. Boushie was a young cree man who died from a gunshot to the back of the head in 2016 after entering a rural property with his friends.
