In a special to the Toronto Star, Signe Langford writes about the 2020 summer vegetable growing season that has been less than ideal for gardeners, especially for those growing tomatoes. In the article, which also appears in the St. Catharines Standard, Langford draws on the expert knowledge of NC professor of horticulture, Paul Zammit, who says this summer has presented extra challenges including poor weather and various “pest” insects that have affected tomato crops.
