A message from Dr. Justin Williams, dean, Business, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport:

It is with great pleasure that I welcome two new associate deans to the School of Business and Management, Adam Weaver and Lisa Mendez.

A familiar face to many, Adam has been teaching in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport since January 2017. Prior to his arrival at Niagara College, Adam was a faculty member in the School of Management at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand from 2003 to 2016. He served as the program coordinator for the tourism management degree program (2008 to 2013) and as deputy head of school for the School of Management (2013 to 2016). Adam’s qualifications are in human geography, as he holds a BA (Honours) from Queen’s University and a MA and PhD from the University of Toronto.

Lisa began her career at Sheridan College in 2008 as a full-time professor in the Office Administration Health Services diploma program, where she was instrumental in helping the program expand as both a faculty member and as the program coordinator. Two years ago, Lisa assumed the role of associate dean within Sheridan’s School of Business, primarily responsible for the Human Resources and Office Administration portfolios. In addition to her contributions to the business faculty over the last 12 years, Lisa was also an active member in numerous committees at Sheridan including Senate, Local Academic Council, Teaching and Learning, Quality Assurance, and several policy committees. Lisa has led her teams through several comprehensive program reviews and curriculum improvements.
