NC alumnus (Graphic Design, 2014) Shaun O’Melia continues to make the news for his winning medal design for the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games. In this August 12 article from BPSN’s Bernie Puchalski, O’Melia discusses his motivations for participating in the contest and notes that the athletes, who will one day adorn the medals portraying his artistry, were foremost in his mind during the design process.
O’Melia’s design will be revealed during Niagara 2021’s 100-Day-Out Event scheduled for April 2021.
