A message from the Centre for Academic Excellence:

Every two years, the Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE) at Niagara College hosts the Spotlight on Teaching and Learning Conference. This event features speakers from the College’s faculty, staff and administration, as well as external presenters, who share innovative ideas and personal reflections about teaching and learning.

Unfortunately, in light of the current COVID-19 situation, this year’s event, which was scheduled for October 2020, will be postponed until Fall 2021. At that time, we hope that we can all be together again in person, to connect, learn and share our stories from the past year.

We thank leadership for their support of the Spotlight Conference, and we also thank those who already submitted proposals or offered to be peer reviewers. We hope that you will consider participating in the same way when we begin planning for Spotlight 2021.

Although we are cancelling the conference this year, the CAE will continue to celebrate the innovative ideas and successes of our faculty through our one-hour “Spotlight On” sessions, and other workshops and programming over the year.

During these challenging times, we have been so inspired by your commitment to quality teaching in supporting the success of NC students.

We look forward to coming together again in 2021 to celebrate and reflect upon your work!
