Bernd Franke from the Niagara Dailies wrote a feature about Jessica Bosma, a new recruit to the NC Knights women’s basketball team and future student in NC’s Paramedic program.

Bosma, who previously attended Redeemer University in Hamilton and Trinity Western University in BC, graduated from the latter with honours in biology and a minor in chemistry. When heading back to Ontario, the 23-year-old Hamilton native considered five post-secondary institutions and landed on Niagara College for its close proximity to home, its Paramedic program and its women’s basketball team as headed up by Chris Rao.

Bosma played basketball for the Redeemer Royals and was a standout in the classroom as well on the court. She was named a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association academic all-Canadian and was selected an OCAA West Division second-team all-star after leading the division in scoring and finishing third in rebounding.

Read the feature from May 23 here.
