Watch NC’s English for Academic Preparation program end of term ceremony

Niagara College’s English for Academic Preparation program End of Term Ceremony went digital for the first time on Thursday, April 30.

“The EAP End of Term Ceremony is a celebration of the exceptional effort and success of our students,” said NC’s School of English Language Studies associate dean, Guhan Ilgazli. “During these difficult times, it is especially important that we acknowledge and congratulate their bravery and unrelenting dedication in any way possible.”

The online ceremony honoured the accomplishments of the most dedicated student from each EAP class as well as EAP level five students for the completion of the program.

This Winter term, 188 students from 24 countries studied in levels one through five of NC’s English for Academic Preparation program; 66 of these students celebrated the completion of NC’s EAP program, representing 18 different countries. Going digital with the ceremony this allowed for more of the graduates’ family and friends living around the world, the opportunity to witness this momentous milestone in their education.

Hosted on Niagara College’s International YouTube Channel, the event included a welcome from Ilgazli and NC’s School of English Language Studies professor and academic program coordinator, Shauna Gupta.
