The NC Knights peaked the interest of The St. Catharines Standard with the signing of four local female basketball players. The piece entitled “Home is where the hoops are,” made the front page of the Sports section in The Welland Tribune.
Head Coach Chris Rao Lexxus Bell from Denis Morris in St. Catharines, Sydney Grummett from E.L. Crossley in Pelham, Jamira Rousseau from Notre Dame in Welland, and Molly Taylor from A.N. Myer in Niagara Falls. All of the new recruits competed at the JUEL (junior elite) level last season in addition to playing on their high school teams.
