The Esthetician program, in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Sport, is seeking reliable male volunteers to receive full-body massages at the NC Teaching Spa.
Massages will be free to volunteers.
Those who volunteer are asked to only sign up if they are committed to attending their appointment.
Interested male volunteers are asked to email [email protected] (no phone calls to the spa) with the following information: volunteer’s first and last name, phone number and email address, and selected date and time for the appointment (see dates and times below).
Space is limited. Only those selected will be contacted.
Volunteers are needed on the following dates and times:
Tuesday Jan. 14
* 1:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
* 3 p.m. – 4:10 p.m.
Friday Jan 17
* 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
* 10 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.
What to expect
Volunteers will be in a classroom with Esthetician students and an instructor.
Each student will be learning protocols on the volunteer assigned to them, at their individual massage bed, in a class together (max nine students with nine volunteers). No one volunteer will be at the front of the class.
Volunteers will have paperwork to complete upon arrival and will be asked to bring shorts to wear.
Volunteers are advised that a male Esthetician student may be performing this service.
Volunteer commitment is expected as it is imperative to the student learning experience.
