Const. Erica Girouard (Police Foundations, 2016) with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was featured in the Parry Sound North Star on December 13 for her work as investigating serious vehicle collisions for the West Parry Sound OPP detachment.
Upon graduating from NC’s Police Foundation program in 2016, Girouard joined the OPP in June 2017. The daughter of an OPP officer, Girouard debated becoming a marine biologist with a police officer. A career in law enforcement won out, and she’s happy to apply her knowledge of math and physics to her work reconstructing and analyzing motor vehicle collisions. She also serves the community as a liaison with teenagers at Parry Sound High School.
