The St. Catharines Standard, The Welland Tribune, and The Niagara Falls Review published news out of Niagara College’s Athletics & Recreation department who will host a coaching school for women at the Welland Campus, December 14-15.

The NC Women’s Coach School is the first entry-level coach certification of its kind. The weekend will feature Olympian and author of “That’s My Coach” Chris Critelli, an Olympian, high-performance athlete-turned coach Dale Melnick, and member of the Canadian national women’s soccer team, Sabrina D’Angelo.

Associate director, Athletics and Recreation at NC Michele O’Keefe is quoted, saying:

“We know that sport is a community grower, Niagara College’s Women in Sport Strategy is a way to build capacity for the growth of sport leadership. We want to empower women of all ages to see a viable path to success — both personally and professionally — in sport.”
