Dariya Baiguzhiyeva with Niagara Now reported on the Faceless Dolls workshop at Niagara College to raise awareness for the more than 1,200 Indigenous women and girls who have gone missing or been murdered in Canada.
Baiguzhiyeva interviews alumna Emily Kudluk about her personal connection to the project, as well as Sociology professor Crystal Adams Coons and Indigenous student success leader Ashley Buck. They note the importance of raising awareness among the student population, and how activities like these demonstrate action taken toward reconciliation.
