On Nov. 28, Education News Canada shared NC’s release on broadcasting program students who will be taking part in the annual Rock Around the Clock 24-hour radiothon in support of Niagara College Student Administrative Council’s Nourishing Minds program, which provides grocery gift cards to students who need them.
From noon on November 28 until noon the following day, the radiothon will feature specialty shows and various music genres, during which time, students will stay awake for the full 24-hour broadcast.
Broadcasting professor Bruce Gilbert highlights the value of experiential learning that students get from the radiothon, as well as a chance to give back to the community.
