A message from Sean Coote, director, International Division:
I’m very pleased to announce that our search for the new manager, International Admissions position has come to a conclusion. Located at the Niagara Corporate Business Centre, Jason Lennard accepted the position and returned to Niagara College on November 4. This new position combines our International Admissions and call centre operations – our Inquiry Response Team (IRT) – into one portfolio, better aligning to achieve our student-focused values and international enrolment targets.
Jason has held a variety of administrative roles in higher education as well as in the public sector. His most recent role was with Brock University in the Office of the Registrar as the assistant registrar, Scheduling and Examinations. Jason completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and is in the final stage of completing a Masters of Education (Administration and Leadership) – both from Brock University.
Jason’s first position at NC was as a business analyst in the Registrar’s Office. In his most recent role as assistant registrar, Jason collaborated regularly with internal and external colleagues, deans and faculty members. His vision for this role is to inspire team members, support innovation, and focus on data-driven decision-making while furthering the already strong student experiences offered at NC.
On a personal note, Niagara is home for Jason and his family and he is looking forward to returning to NC, where his passion for post-secondary administration began.
With the addition of this position, Howard Slaney will continue to manage international marketing and recruitment as the International Recruitment and Marketing associate director; Shawna will continue to manage International Student Services as the International Student Services associate director. These organizational changes are in alignment with NC’s strategic goals as we continue to work on strategies that will increase our student diversity and quality, and enhance our supports for international students and the College community.
Please join me in extending a warm Niagara College welcome to Jason.
