On Nov. 5, Global News reported that five Canadian colleges – among them, Niagara College – have come together to form a consortium for cannabis. The consortium was formed “to explore and pursue joint cannabis training and applied research opportunities.”
For Niagara College, it is a fitting complement to the School of Environment and Horticulture, home to the Commercial Cannabis Production program. Making up the consortium are Okanagan College, NorQuest College, Durham College New Brunswick’s Collège communautaire, plus Colleges and Institutes Canada.
