Matt Holmes of Newstalk 610 CKTB speaks with NC’s winemaker and instructor Gavin Robertson about the seven awards given to a wide range of wine types from the Teaching Winery. NC took home a gold medal, three silver medals and three bronze medals for various wines including a chardonnay, pinot noir, rosé and two sparkling wines.
Robertson talks about the Teaching Winery as a one of NC’s Learning Enterprises in which students learn about all aspects of production and commercial operations, from picking grapes at the annual icewine harvest to bottling wine down in the cellar, students are involved in a broad range of experiential learning activities to help them become work-ready graduates.
Robertson also speaks to Holmes about the wines that are popular with consumers this season.
