Canadian Beer News shared the limited edition release from NC’s Teaching Brewery, Juno Pale Ale, a commemorative brew in honour of D-Day using the 1944 recipe from brewing logs at the St. Austell Brewery in Cornwall, England.
NC brewmaster Jon Downing described the brewing process behind this student-crafted heritage beer. Downing and his students, in consultation with Roger Ryman, director of Brewing at St. Austell, set out to create a recipe as close to the original as possible.
Juno is a 3% pale ale based on the lightly hoppy but crisp and refreshing brew served during the Second World War.
