The Welland Tribune published a story on the 2019 inductees into the Welland Sports Wall of Fame, which included NC’s Frank DeChellis, men’s soccer coach. The ceremony was well-attended, taking place at the Seaway Mall on Sunday, May 5.
DeChellis was inducted alongside former Montreal Impact soccer player Simon Gatti which carried special meaning. DeChellis, a rookie coach at the time, was Gatti’s first competitive soccer coach, instilling in him a love for the sport.
