A message from the Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC):
In the coming days, the NCSAC will embark on the yearly process in which students elect the next Board of Directors.
The NCSAC exists to be the voice of the student body at NC and a new board is elected every year to ensure fresh perspectives and values are brought to the table.
Throughout February, students will rally friends and classmates from their schools of study to nominate and then elect them. Staff members and fellow students may know someone who would make a great NCSAC director; someone who is a natural leader, wants to get involved on campus, be a voice for the betterment of all NC students, or who simply wants to learn good governance. If you know a student like this, please encourage them to get involved.
With recent changes to our governance structure, one student is elected from each school of study and they are responsible to advocate on behalf of all students at Niagara College. The following is our new board structure:

Each director will work within their school of study, connect with their associate deans, and create links back to NCSAC. While directors will draw some of their attention to their schools of study, their primary focus will be the larger College collective. NCSAC directors will work towards advancing the organization and enhancing NCSAC’s presence at the College.
The nomination process and student campaigning
Starting on Feb. 1, students will be able to pick up their election kits which specify the number of nominations they require from friends and classmates within their respective school of study. Election kits (nominations) are due on Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.
The student candidates will have the next two weeks in February to prepare their campaign which will officially kick off on March 4. Student campaigning will progress through the voting days, during which time you will see campaign posters of the candidates throughout the halls of both campuses. These posters represent each candidates pride and excitement in their pursuit of student leadership.
The voting process
We have made the voting process as accessible and straight-forward as possible. With students having so many things on-the-go, their unique, school-specific ballot will be sent directly to their student inbox, allowing them to vote securely and anonymously online. For example, the ballot of a student in a Business Marketing program will have three positions from which to vote for: director of business management, NCSAC President, and B.O.G representative. They will not have the ability to vote for director positions in any other schools than the school in which they are a student.
Voting will begin on March 11, concluding on March 14 at 4 p.m. Results will be announced on March 15 at 12 noon.
As a final note, our elections are facilitated by our CRO Istafa Sufi who has been hired for the duration of the campaign. Istafa is the point of contact for any and all inquiries, questions, appeals and comments.
