Please note that the sales of on-campus parking permits for on-campus parking has now resumed.
Permit sales were halted on the week of September 19 due to a greater-than-anticipated demand for parking spaces during the first few weeks of the fall term, particularly at the Welland Campus. View Sept. 19 message here.
The decision to resume parking permit sales was based on recent parking lot counts which have indicated open spaces available during peak times, the addition of overflow parking areas, and lot improvements underway.
Lot improvements underway
Parking lot improvements are now underway at the Welland Campus. Lot D will also be expanded and paved. The work on lot D is now scheduled to begin on Sept. 25. The work is expected to continue until Sept. 28. Facilities Management Services is working on minimizing the disruption to parking availability while work is in progress.
Lot E has been expanded and it will also be paved and lines will be painted to ensure the lot is utilized to its maximum capacity. This work is scheduled to take place during October break week.
Temporary parking will be established on campus during the paving periods.
Seaway Mall parking
Students travelling to the Welland Campus have the option of free parking at the Seaway Mall, 800 Niagara St., and using their U-Pass to hop on a Welland Transit bus directly to campus.
The Seaway Mall has designated a portion of the lot for NC students to park, facing Niagara Street, near Lancaster Drive. View highlighted area here:

Students are also reminded that the mall lot is for day use only; overnight parking is not permitted.
Consider alternatives
Students are reminded of the options that exist for travel to our campuses. Carpooling is encouraged, and all students receive a U-Pass that can be used with any public transit provider in Niagara.
