NC’s was firing on all cylinders Aug. 10 at GM Canada’s 20th annual Show and Shine at the St. Catharines Propulsion Plant. Motive Power faculty and students challenged showgoers young and old to try their hand at building and racing their own cub car on NC’s track. Car-lovers also got an up-close at NC’s Nitrous race car, and the college’s 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS, donated by GM Canada, was on full display at the plant.

The College has a strong and ongoing partnership with GM Canada – last month the College’s Green Automotive Technology Lab received a donation of three new cars, plus $50,000 in equipment to help improve experiential learning opportunities for students. Learn more here.
The St. Catharines Propulsion Plant also partners with the College on several environmental initiatives, including collaborating for World Environment and Earth Day events, and hosting student field projects from the Ecosystem Restoration post-graduate program since 2011, and student interns from the Environmental Management and Assessment post-graduate program since 2013.
