Please join your colleagues and me at our upcoming Day of Reflection event on Thursday, May 3 at the Welland Campus.
Day of Reflection is a wonderful Niagara College tradition that brings us together as a college community, and provides important opportunities for collaboration, and reflection of the past year and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Student success has been at the heart of NC’s mission for more than 50 years, and this year our Day of Reflection is devoted to this topic. Our unwavering commitment to an unparalleled student experience is one of the things that distinguishes Niagara College in a postsecondary landscape that has become more competitive than ever before. Our continued success as a college is tied directly to our ability to put students first. This year’s Day of Reflection will allow us to build on our strengths and learn more about the evolving needs and expectations of our learners, ensuring we are effectively supporting them as they work towards fulfilling their dreams.
Concurrent sessions will explore the unique characteristics of our diverse student body and different definitions of student success across college life. We will also hear stories from current students who will help us to better understand their journeys to achieve success. A variety of perspectives and personal stories will provide different lenses through which we can better view the needs of our students and meet those needs as they work towards their goals.
These sessions will give fantastic insight into student success at Niagara College. The program will culminate in a delicious lunch in the Learning Commons.
Doors to the Welland Campus gymnasium will open at 7:45 am and the program begins at 8:30 am. To help organizers, please be sure to register online for this event. For registration information, click here.
I look forward to seeing you there.
