A message from the Centre for Professional and Organizational Development:

Niagara College’s annual Day of Reflection is Thursday, May 3.

We invite all staff and faculty to join us at Welland Campus for a morning focused on better understanding our students and supporting their success. The doors to the gymnasium will open at 7:45 a.m. for light refreshments with the program beginning at 8:30 a.m. The day will finish with a catered lunch and the chance to chat and network with colleagues and guests.

Student success has been at the heart of NC’s mission for more than 50 years. Our unwavering commitment to an unparalleled student experience is one of the reasons students choose us. Our success as a college is tied directly to our focus on our students, and this year’s Day of Reflection will allow us to build on our strengths and learn more about our changing student population. We have prepared a great lineup of speakers, panelists and presentation to explore different ways to support their success and understand their needs inside and outside our classrooms with greater clarity.

Employees will have the opportunity to attend two of the following break out sessions:

Speaker: Dr. Michael Condra, retired director of the Counselling, Health and Disability Services Department of Queen’s University and a national leader in student mental health.

Truth Before Reconciliation – Stories of Resiliency
