Message from Dan Patterson: Niagara Falls Campus update

I am writing to provide an update on the Niagara Falls Campus.

A deal recently closed that will see ownership of the property on Dunn Street in Niagara Falls transfer to a local private business.

The sale of this property concludes a process that began in 2016 when we announced the relocation of academic programs operating in Niagara Falls to the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses. The sale has generated $6.3 million that will be directed toward capital investments that create new and updated learning environments and enhance the on-campus experience that we offer all Niagara College students.

As our revitalized Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses take shape, it’s important to acknowledge the important place that the Niagara Falls Campus holds in our college’s rich history. Known for many years as the Maid of the Mist Campus, in recognition of the support of the Glynn family, the Campus was for many years the home of our renowned culinary and hospitality and tourism programs, as well as employment services, hairstyling, and International programs and services.

I’d like to thank the faculty and staff who, over the years, contributed to the experience of the students who studied there.
