Message from Pam Skinner: Niagara Falls Campus Update

Pam SkinnerI am pleased to provide an update on the Niagara Falls Campus.

As president Dan Patterson advised last spring, in light of our earlier decision to relocate academic programs to our Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses this fall, we have decided to list the Niagara Falls campus property for sale.

The next step in that process takes place this week, as we begin outreach seeking Expressions of Interest, which allows interested parties to submit their interest in the Niagara Falls property between now and the end of September.  The Request for Expressions of Interest can be referenced at:

As we invest $65 million in projects at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses that are modernizing our learning environments, improving our facilities and enhancing the experience that we offer students, we have created an opportunity to move the programs that operated at the Niagara Falls Campus to the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses, while providing the best possible facilities for teaching and learning — allowing students access to the enhanced level of services, amenities and overall Niagara College experience that students at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses are experiencing with these campus redevelopment projects. The subsequent sale of the Niagara Falls campus will generate revenue and savings that can be redirected to learning resources and services that benefit all students.

I would like to extend my appreciation to the employees who are transitioning from the Niagara Falls campus for their support and continued commitment to our students’ satisfaction and success.

Watch for further updates as this process continues.
