Notes:

Niagara College of Applied Arts & Technology (the “College”) is seeking submissions for the supply, delivery and installation of a Driving Simulation System to be used within the School of Justice and Fitness Studies along with the School or Allied Health for Police and Ambulance training scenarios as described herein (subject to budgetary approval/funding). The system should also have the capability of upgradable software aspects where the simulator software is continuously updated as training is completed by faculty.

The simulator will be used for the instruction of Niagara College students by Niagara College faculty and staff. Alternatively the simulator at times may also be used with College community partners to aid in driver training.

The requested system must have the following minimum specifications:

  • Fully Interactive Driving Simulator including a minimum of 3 display screens
  • Must include software capable of simulating at minimum: Urban and Rural environments, multiple weather conditions including rain and snow, a wide variety of vehicles including but not limited to Ambulances and Patrol cars.
  • Capable of simulating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Dashboard and surrounding area is to replicate an emergency services vehicle (i.e. patrol car or similar) including fully simulated seat, dashboard and steering wheel.
  • Scenario bundles must include: Law Enforcement and EMS Bundles and the ability to be added to in the future
  • Instructors work station to be included in overall package.
  • Instructor Operation training to be provided minimum 1 day (8 hours) “Train the trainer” for a min. of 3 Niagara College personal.
  • Stand-alone system
  • Able to be fully integrated into the Ontario Incident Management System (IMS) as outlined below:

Consistent with internationally recommended practices, Ontario has developed an Incident Management System (IMS) that provides standardized organizational structures, functions, processes and terminology for use at all levels of emergency response in Ontario. IMS addresses the need for coordinated responses to all types of incidents and has been developed with input from more than 30 emergency response organizations from Ontario.

IMS is currently introduced in the Police Foundations Program. A purchased programming platform offers the ability to engage the system across disciplines from Justice to paramedic, nursing, trades technology and civil engineering.

Niagara College (the “College”) is seeking bid submissions from qualified Contractor to supply and install Door Access Control Systems that operates and can be integrated with the College’s current door security infrastructure.  This project is to be completed at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus located at:

This project shall be responsible for supplying and installing all necessary hardware (including conductors and cables) and software to provide a fully operational and integrated door access control system.  Network cabling is NOT required within this Scope of Work, but the Contractor will be required to work in collaborate with the network cabling installers.

The Successful Respondent shall;

  • have experience in this field, completing one (1) minimum similar project over the past five (5) years
    have experience working with sub-trades; specifically with Genetec Certified Elite Partners who have installed and integrated Genetec Synergis IP Access Control Systems.

This Project is expected to be COMPLETED by the end of March, 2018.

The College may request the successful bidder to provide additional services similar to the Work described in the Bid Documents at any Niagara College Campus.

Niagara College, (the “College”) is seeking bid submissions from a certified Salesforce Consulting Partner to implement (in a phased approach) Salesforce CRM for several areas at the College. This engagement is comprised of two (2) stages.

1.  Stage 1 – The development of a Niagara College CRM Enterprise Architecture Strategy (at an overarching high level)
2.  Stage 2 – Implement this Salesforce CRM strategy and plan within the International Division at the College

The Successful Respondent shall:

•  have a background, and direct experience, in guiding and managing higher education Salesforce CRM implementations
•  lead resource assigned to Stage 1 has a Technical Architect designation/certification from Salesforce and at least two (2) years’ experience designing these types of architectures
•  provide ongoing Salesforce.com system support capability beyond initial implementation

Implementation is expected to commence mid-March, 2018 and be completed by the end of July, 2018.

Niagara College of Applied Arts & Technology is seeking a Service Provider to operate a full-service Print and Document Management Centre that includes the supply of on-site digital print equipment, paper, ink (toner), in order to provide printing, duplicating/copying services, scanning, binding, and other document management services.   The Service Provider shall also provide Mail Room Services that include the functions of shipping and receiving mail and parcels.  The College would like to explore revenue sharing or cost neutral alternatives.

The Print and Document Management Services and Mail Room Services shall be provided at the following Niagara College locations:

  • Welland Campus, 100 Niagara College Boulevard, Welland ON
  • Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, 135 Taylor Road, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON

PRINT AND DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT CENTRE (PRINT CENTRE)

  • Manage the day to day operations of an on-site “store front” Print Centre where students, faculty and staff, (the “Clients”) may access and utilize the Services.  Operating the Print Centre shall include point of sale transactions including interact or credit cards.
  • The Service Provider shall have properly trained and qualified staff (personnel) to meet the Services described.
  • The on-site hours of operation shall be a minimum of 8:00am to 5:00pm, including coverage over normal lunch times, Monday to Friday.  The Print Centre shall have the same closure dates as the College, however services shall be offered twelve (12) months per year.
  • Requests for Services made by Clients shall be received by the Services Provider by email, USB or flash drives, SD cards, etc to convert from soft copy to hard copy print projects.
  • The Service Provider shall have an online (web based) print requisition ordering system. The on-line order system shall be available to users twenty-four (24) hours per day seven days per week.  The system shall be capable of interfacing and integrating with the same login used by College staff and students.
  • Provide the Services in a timely manner, as such service delivery shall match requests from the clients in such a way that the Service Provider offers services that compete with external vendors offering the same or similar services.
  • Supply all necessary equipment the Service Provider requires to provide the Services.   Services shall not be delayed due to equipment availability, for example equipment shall be in working order and properly maintained to avoid any delay in meeting the requirements.  Equipment shall be environmentally friendly, Energy star rated, efficient in power usage, capable of powering down when the equipment is not in use, latest in print technology, etc.
  • The service provider may require an off-site location to complete the requested services.  Although orders may be processed off-site all orders placed either using the on-line system or at the store front, shall be available for pick-up at the on-site store front at the College locations.

MAIL SERVICES, SHIPPING AND RECEIVING

  • The Service Provider shall provide on-site Mail Room coordination including shipping and receiving functions for the College. Services shall be offered from 8:00am to 5:00pm, including normal lunch times, Monday to Friday. The mail room shall have the same closure dates as the College, however services shall be offered twelve (12) months per year.
  • The Service Provider shall have properly trained and qualified staff (personnel) to provide on-site mail room services to meet the College’s shipping and receiving requirements.
