A message from Steve Hudson, VP Academic and Learner Services:
I am pleased to announce the appointment of David Taylor to the position of associate vice-president Academic and Learner Services effective September 1, 2017.
David has been with Niagara College since 1983, when he started as a faculty member in Business. He was appointed to a dean role (then called ‘director’) in January of 1994, taking leadership of the Business Studies Division. He was subsequently appointed dean of the Hospitality and Tourism Division, as well as campus principal of the Niagara Falls Campus in February 1996. Dave oversaw the construction of the culinary and hospitality facilities at Niagara-on-the-Lake and the move of the division to that campus in 2003. Dave was also the dean of Academic and Liberal Studies before he took on the role of founding campus principal and dean for the Taif Campus of Niagara College in Saudi Arabia from 2014-2016.
For the past year, Dave has been in the International Division as dean of International Partnerships, responsible for business development and articulations, as well as student exchanges and travel abroad.
Dave brings a wealth of Niagara College and systems experience to the associate vice-president Academic and Learner Services position. In this role, he will be responsible for working with deans and directors to enhance day-to-day operations and the student experience at the College.
