Business, Hospitality and Environment division welcomes Nick Farnell


Nick Farnell is NC's Business, Hospitality and Environment division's new academic business manager.

Vivian Kinnaird, dean of Business, Hospitality and Environment:

I would like to welcome Nick Farnell as the new academic business manager of our  Business, Hospitality, and Environment division.

Nick brings strong knowledge of the college system from many years at Humber College in Toronto. Most recently, Nick was the operations manager within the School of Applied Technology. In this role he provided management and administrative leadership to ensure efficient and effective operation within the academic school.

Previous to that, Nick was the community manager with the Humber Students’ Federation, focused on developing and implementing a strategic digital plan. Nick has also held positions within Humber in Student Life and Student Recruitment.

Nick has also been a part-time faculty member at Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber for the past seven years, focusing mainly on digital communications and strategy.

Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in design, a post-graduate certificate in interactive multimedia, and an MBA focusing on the management of technology and innovation. He is a former student government president, and a strong supporter of student led initiatives.

Along with his wife Jennifer and daughter Ruby, Nick is looking forward to life in the Niagara region, closer to other family members.
