Join staff, faculty and students as we cheer on NC’s own Junior Culinary Team Canada before they go for the gold at the Culinary Olympics this fall.
An Olympic Send-off event will be held in the team’s honour on October 7 at 11 a.m. at the Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus, cafeteria foyer.
The event is being held prior to the team’s departure for Germany where the Culinary Olympics, known formally as the Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) Culinary Olympics, will be held October 21-26.
Since they won the right to represent Canada in 2013, this team of recent culinary graduates from our Canadian Food and Wine Institute and their coaches have dedicated tens of thousands of hours to intense training in preparation for this event.
This is the first time a team from Niagara College has ever represented Canada at this prestigious international competition and the eyes of the world will be on them.
