Niagara College is committed to equipping all employees with the basic tools to effectively intervene and support students, co-workers, and members of the community who are experiencing mental health problems.
When you attend this course this MHFA Certification program, you can expect to:
- improve your understanding of mental illness;
- minimize the fear and hesitation to become involved when you think someone is experiencing a mental health problem; and
- develop simple and effective intervention strategies that are relevant to your role at the college.

Would you love to create a clear vision for a new project or personal goal? Want to have clarity for your new direction? Come and meet Julie Stitt, senior manager for COE, for a Vision Board workshop! A vision board helps you to identify your goals and is a creative, engaging way to map your future. It captures ideas in a collage of pictures taken from magazines and photos. At the end of this interactive, fun-filled workshop you will have started to create a Vision Board on your own that will inspire you to take action and move in the direction of your dreams.
Bring your lunch and dessert will be provided.
