Destination College: NC welcomes Grade 7 students to campus May 25-28

Niagara College staff, faculty and students will notice some younger faces on campus from May 25-28.

More than 400 Grade 7 students will be on campus as part of Destination College, hosted by NC’s Recruitment Department in conjunction with the Golden Horseshoe School College Work Initiative.

The students will participate in an engaging and interactive series of workshops designed to get youth thinking about careers, their own interests and the future and how NC can play a part. They will be at NOTL Campus May 25-26 and at the Welland Campus May 27-28.

“As you know there is increasing pressure for students to look at future options related to post-secondary at an earlier age,” said Phil Hayes, manager, Student Recruitment and InfoCentres. “This event is designed to take the trepidation out of this process and turn it into something fun. Many of our activities include current students which also helps the student relate.”

Hayes encourages NC staff and faculty to say ‘hello’ and welcome the youth to the college.
