Farewell wishes for Student Services counsellor Georgina Tibbs

An announcement from Sheryl Johns, manager of NC’s Student Service’s division:

After a 28-year career at Niagara College, Georgina Tibbs, counsellor, Student Services, is retiring at the end of June 2013.

Georgina, a graduate of Niagara College, started her career at NC in 1985 as an Instructor in the Welland Youth Start Program. She soon after began providing counselling support for community clients who were participating in NC’s Pre-Employment Preparation program.

In 1996, she joined the Student Services team and for 17 years has continued to dedicate her professional life towards helping students achieve their personal, academic and career goals.

Georgina has been a skillful advocate for NIC’s diverse population of students including community clients, international students and other non-traditional student groups. She will certainly be missed for the numerous contributions she has made in the name of student success.

Please join the Student Services Division in wishing Georgina a fond farewell and best wishes as she retires from Niagara College.
