The Indigenous Education Department supports our students through culturally appropriate teachings, academic guidance, leadership opportunities, community referrals, and assistance in navigating the college system. We honour Indigenous ways of knowing, doing, and being. Our Indigenous Centres, both in Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake, are a home-away-from-home where students find community on campus and build long-lasting relationships. We welcome all Indigenous students from different nations across Canada.
IE services are part of the foundation of my education here. Having that cultural component is important to me.
Residential School Survivor Supports
If you are experiencing the impact of trauma or inter-generational impacts from the Indian Residential School system and this is affecting your ability to participate fully in our courses or programs, resources and supports are available.
Note: This website discusses topics that may be distressing and awaken memories of past traumatic experiences and abuse.

We welcome you. We recognize that each student must experience a sense of belonging and place, where voices are heard and cultural traditions, histories and beliefs are respected and understood.
