PLAR Cost and Forms
Important: PLAR applicants are advised that assessments require time and often involve multiple service areas. It is recommended that applicants start this process no later than three (3) weeks prior to the start of classes.
There is no guarantee of seat availability and applications for current term courses will not be considered after the Tenth Day of the Term.
Upon receipt of your PLAR Application and payment, you will be removed from the course you have applied to challenge (if you are currently enrolled).
Forms
PLAR clients are required to complete one (1) Application Form for every challenge. Click the button below to be redirected to the Online Application Form.
Also, please consider downloading the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Process Sheet. This is not a form, but provides a printable overview of the PLAR process.

How do I make my PLAR fee payment?
To learn about Payment Options and how you can make your PLAR Fee payment, please visit the Make a Payment page.
Your PLAR fee payment must be submitted at the time of application.
Is PLAR fee refundable?
The PLAR assessment fee is non-refundable. It is important for applicants to go through the PLAR application process and to reach out to the Pathways Advisor for any inquiries about eligibility and requirements prior to PLAR application.
Will I receive a tuition fee refund for withdrawing from a course based on a successful PLAR?
If a student withdraws from a course before the 10th day of class, unless the total course load goes down to “Part-Time”, there will be no change in the tuition fees. In other words if your student load remains Full-Time after the course has been dropped, the tuition fees will also remain Full-Time and therefore no reversal of fees.
Note: When credits are earned from PLAR resulting in Full-Time students becoming Part-Time, eligibility for OSAP, or other sponsorship or study permits for International students, may be affected. Your Financial Aid Advisor or International Student Advisor can assist you if needed.
