Earth Hour

Earth Hour takes place annually in March, where individuals, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to turn off their lights for an hour in the evening, collectively taking action to reduce human’s negative impacts on the environment.

Earth Hour is a grassroots movement that began in 2007 with the goal of inspiring people to take action for the environment. Over the years this event has gained international momentum and is supported globally through World Wildlife Fund. Niagara College celebrates Earth Hour annually through various events, campaigns, and even the occasional giveaway.
