Niagara College has 500 solar panels on the roof of the Voyageur Building at the Welland Campus. The 95kW roof-mounted photovoltaic system is capable of producing a maximum annual yield of 115MWh of power. The solar panels have been tied into the Ontario power grid as part of the Feed-In-Tariff program. All revenue generated from this program goes towards supporting energy and sustainability initiatives on campus.
