Reawakening All Our Relations – Indigenous Stories by the Fire

Location: Balls’ Falls Conservation Area Campground
Parking location: Please enter the Ball’s Falls Campground via the laneway across from 3159 Sixth Avenue, Lincoln, ON
Volunteer Duties:
- Event Set-up and Take-Down
- Assist in setting up picnic tables around campfire
- Set-up solar lights and sound system with staff
- Welcome and greet attendees
- Direct attendees to the Registration tent
- Help take down event materials at the end of the program
- Parking Support
- Volunteers will assist staff in setting up and marking the parking area for event attendees
- In reflective vests volunteers will help to direct attendees into their parking spots
- Assist attendees back to vehicles by shining flashlights and directing folks along the path
- Direct vehicles exiting the parking lot at the end of the event
How to Prepare:
- Volunteers should come prepared for an evening outdoors, engaging in Indigenous-led programming all around a clean fire
- Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for being outdoors in the evening
- Bring along: refillable water bottle, snacks, flashlight, bug spray, picnic blanket or camp chair, warm layered clothing and outdoor footwear
Volunteers will be provided with a flashlight and reflective vest for use during the event, and will be provided with a snack and drink.
