NC’s Michele O’Keefe, associate director of Athletics and Recreation, was featured by Bernie Puchalski of BPSN in this January 19 article.
O’Keefe was recently honoured with an Executive Award of Merit by the Canadian Basketball Officials Commission (CBOC) for her role in helping the Canadian Association of Basketball Officials (CABO) transition into the CBOC in May 2020. The change allowed the new committee to dedicate full-time staff to official’s development under the umbrella of Canada Basketball, an organization O’Keefe worked for, for many years.
In the article, O’Keefe also speaks to her time at NC so far. She highlights how NC Athletics and Recreaction is placing an emphasis on hosting different sporting events to help local kids become familiar with the college and what it has to offer.
