NC’s Virtual Preschool website continues to make the news and is featured in this recent article, appearing in the three Niagara Dailies on December 2. The initiative, which was recently launched by NC’s Early Childhood Education (ECE) program, provides a way for students to satisfy their course requirements and responds to a need in the community by providing resources for young children and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The article notes that after students record videos of themselves going through the activities they have created, the content is graded by faculty and posted to the free website, where they become a resource for children and their parents.
Carol Phillips, associate dean of Community Services, Angela Hayes, ECE program coordinator and professor, and second-year ECE student Alexandria Craddock are quoted in the article.
