Looking for outdoor tent space to support your College service area? Tents are available for booking at the Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake campuses.

Tents may be used to support student services, such as the distribution of supplies or curbside pickup.

Beginning September 4, tents may be booked for any day of the week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weekend supervision must be provided on Saturday or Sunday). They are currently available for bookings until the end of September.

Tent bookings may be requested through your College Outlook Exchange email account (similar to a room booking); tents are listed under ‘rooms.’ Requests must be approved by Ancillary Services.

Available tents include:

Welland Campus

  • Tent WC-1 (Outlook), located near Lot A near the Applied Health Institute entrance; and
  • Tent WC-2 (Outlook), located between the Black Walnut and Pavilion buildings.

Daniel J. Patterson Campus (Niagara-on-the-Lake)

  • Tent-NL 1 (Outlook) located in Lot B near the Marotta Family Innovation Complex.

The 40-by-60-square-foot tents have a maximum capacity of 42 occupants. They include 10 tables and 42 chairs, which may be arranged in multiple configurations for walk-up counter service or demonstration setups. Wifi networking and power will be available.

Set-up is self-service and the users will be responsible for following physical distancing protocols. AV or direct hardwired network access is not available in the tents and they are not heated.

Please note that tents may not be booked for academic delivery purposes.

There may also be cases where a tent is already booked in the system but may still have capacity and can be shared with the department that reserved the tent. In this situation, please contact Jennifer Pinfold via email at [email protected] to inquire about the opportunity to co-share the space. She will look into the existing configuration of the tent and manually add a second booking when possible.
