Recreation Therapy Fast Track students gather for a game of KanJam on June 9.
What happens when a group of Recreation Therapy students decide to have some fresh air and fun outdoors after class on National Health and Fitness Day? KanJam!
Twelve students, from the third term of the RT Fast Track program, participated on June 9, following their Role of Government class. They were introduced to the game by RT student Meka Matthews, said professor Stacey Green.
“The game is played in pairs with flying disks and garbage cans. The aim is to get your disk into the can receiving various point values up to a final score of 21,” said Green. “They had a real blast and can’t wait to schedule a few more games.”
National Health and Fitness day is held on the first Saturday of June each year.
