As limited on-campus academic activity will resume in a small number of programs beginning Monday, July 6, a new approval process for employee access to campus will also come into effect.

Access to campus remains limited to students and staff who have an approved activity, and essential workers and contractors.

Employees can now complete a request access to campus via the Employee Self-Service app in the myNC portal. The request must be submitted 24-hours in advance of the requested access time. To request access, an employee must:

  • Have completed the Safe Return to Niagara College Orientation (one time). (Note that in addition to general orientation, departments with specific requirements may require additional orientation). For access to the orientation, contact your supervisor.
  • Complete and pass a daily online self-assessment tool available via the myNC portal (see below). (Note that this must be completed daily, and can only be completed once per day). We recommend that the daily online self-assessment be completed in the morning, before leaving home.

The successful completion of these tools will be tied to an employee ID card which must be presented upon entry at the designated entrance. Those who have left their cards on campus (in offices) may be granted access with their employee ID numbers. Those that do not have cards or have lost them, should visit: niagaracollege.ca/idcards/

If the orientation, the request form or daily online self-assessment has not been completed successfully, the employee will not be allowed to enter the campus.
