The CAE is pleased to announce that the Spotlight on Teaching and Learning Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The conference will be a one-day event featuring speakers from Niagara College’s faculty, staff and administration, as well as external presenters, who will share innovative ideas and personal experiences that support teaching and learning.

As our keynote, we are proud to be welcoming Dr. Robyne Hanley-Dafoe, multi-award-winning psychology and education professor at Trent University. Robyne’s research is focused on resilience, and through her keynote presentation she will invite us to consider the ways in which we, as a community of educators, can help to foster resilience among our students and within ourselves.

We are currently accepting proposals from faculty, staff and administration to present at the Conference. The submission deadline has been extended to Monday March 20 at 5:00 PM.  All proposals will be peer-reviewed and all authors will be notified about the status of their proposal by Monday, April 6, 2020.

We are also looking for proposal reviewers. If you would like to assist us in reading up to 3 workshop proposals and providing productive feedback to your colleagues, please contact Sharon Everett ([email protected]) by Monday March 9, 2020.  Proposal reviews will be completed between March 21 and March 30, 2020.

Registration for the conference will be open in September 2020. We look forward to seeing you at the Conference!
