It was announced to residents of Aurora that they would have the chance to get a sneak peak of the newly-restored Armoury building on Nov. 9 and 10, home to a community partnership between the Town of Aurora and NC’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute. The partnership will allow Aurora residents to take culinary, wine and beer classes, and the space can be used for catering and community events located centrally in downtown.
The restored Armoury features a culinary theater, classroom and community event space. Craig Youdale, dean of NC’s CFWI, explains the range of food and beverage education on offer, and Mayor Tom Mrkaras notes the town’s proud partnership with the CFWI in helping to create a vibrant community hub in Aurora.
The open house took place on Nov. 9 and 10.
